Grand military parade to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese Anti-Fascist War
Tiananmen Square was decked out in full glory, and Chang'an Avenue was lined with majestic troops. A ceremony commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War was held today.
The parade consisted of two stages: a review and a parade, lasting approximately 70 minutes. This was the first military parade to mark the new journey of comprehensively advancing Chinese-style modernization and a new appearance of the People's Liberation Army as it strives to celebrate its centenary.

Over a hundred types of weapons and equipment were featured in this parade, all of which are domestically produced, currently in service. A significant proportion of these new equipment debuted, including some land, sea, and air-based strategic heavy equipment, high-precision strike, and unmanned and anti-unmanned systems, which were displayed publicly for the first time.

The Battle Flag Column represents the honors and feats of those who shed blood in the flames of the War of Resistance. From among the countless heroes and numerous honorary flags, representative flags were selected, distinguishing different periods, regions, and units. Officers and soldiers from their respective units carried these flags during the parade.
04 International Participation: Representatives from Multiple Countries Attend, Demonstrating Consensus for Peace
Twenty-six foreign heads of state and government have confirmed their attendance at the commemorative events. These include Russian President Vladimir Putin, North Korean Workers' Party General Secretary Kim Jong-un, Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni, and Vietnamese President Luong Cuong.
North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's attendance has attracted significant attention, marking his first participation in a multilateral diplomatic event and a significant milestone in China-North Korea relations.
The commemorative event press center described the rehearsal as "the parade troops looked majestic and magnificent."
Eighty years ago, at the enormous cost of 35 million military and civilian casualties, the Chinese people annihilated over 1.5 million Japanese troops, making an indelible contribution to the World Anti-Fascist War.
